The thought for this site was born in the classroom. I’ve taught the typical working professional seeking an advanced degree for more than 11 years now. Students have suggested that I write a book. Of course, I started down that path on more than a few occasions. However, unlike the conventional view of the subject of “economics” as something which is stable with immutable laws that we all should understand, I’ve found the subject to be full of questions and opportunities that the various “laws” do not explain. In a light bulb moment a journal became the next best solution to sharing my views on the subject.

However, before I completed the formulation of that “journal”, this “blog world” emerged. Even as a technically literate person the “blog world” is new to me. So, as I grow in understanding in the use of this medium, I ask that you grow with me in our understanding of this thing we call “economics”. We will do this by looking at the conventional wisdom provided on the various economic problems, thoughts, ideas, and questions and openly discuss the realities these things impart in our world today!

Sincerely,

Prof P
